Landscape Architecture encompasses many skills and spheres of expertise. This is demonstrated in the wide range of services we offer, spanning the inception of the project to either its handover to the adopting 'body', or its long term management and maintenance.


Landscape Strategies

Development and design of strategic landscape proposals to create landscape structure and character for long term success, for large scale developments, including the production of Landscape Strategy reports and masterplans.

Landscape Design

A full design service from inception and feasibility of the project through to final design and detail. This includes outline and sketch schemes proposals, cost estimating and obtaining Planning Permission.

Landscape and Visual Assessment

Undertaking studies of the visual and environmental impact of developments and land changes, on the landscape, including photomontage images.

Urban Design

Preparation of design proposals for new urban projects and proposals for existing areas requiring regeneration and upgrade.

Expert Witness

Including planning appeals, the preparation of proof of evidence for public inquiry and appearing as expert witness at public inquiry.

Environmental Enhancement Studies

Undertaking landscape and environmental studies and leading multi disciplinary teams where necessary. Surveying and analysing existing situations including landscape, ecology,engineering and public consultation, and developing costed recommendations and action plans for future implementation.

Planning Applications

Preparation and submission of landscape schemes to obtain Planning Consent and discharge Conditions, including negotiations with planning authorities.

Land Management

Specification and contract management of landscape schemes, post establishment. Preparation of Management Plans and Maintenance schedules for discharge of planning condition and future project use. We are also able to provide Budget and Commuted Sum advice, and negotiation of management by Local Authorities or Management Companies, based on experience.

Contract Procurement & Management

Production of tender information, tender lists, tender action or negotiation, tender analysis and preparation of Contract documentation.

Administration of operations on site, certification of accounts and workstages, including budget control. Monitor maintenance during the establishment period and negotiate handover to adopting authority/company.

Tree Survey and Hedgerow Assessment

Assessment of trees in accordance with current British Standard and production of Tree Constraints Plans. Hedgerow surveys and advice on retention and removal. Organisation of tree surgery and hedgerow works.

Public Consultations

Where required for the correct development of a project the company organises consultations with the public and stakeholders. This often done by the creation and circulation of user friendly questionaires but also by exhibitions and sometimes by public meetings and charettes.

Ecology

Through our network of ecology sub Consultants we are able to offer the services of fully qualified and licensed Ecologists to carry out surveys, produce mitigation proposals, obtain Licenses and implement works.

Archeology

Via our network of sub consultants we are able to offer clients this service covering assessment mitigation and watching brief

CDM Co-ordinator

Fulfil the role of Planning Supervisor on Landscape projects, as required by the Construction Design and Management Regulations.
