East Trowbridge Town extension
Persimmon Homes (Wessex) Ltd commissioned LTC Landscape Architecture in 2005, to prepare a Strategic Landscape Scheme for the East Trowbridge Development, Wiltshire. The report addressed key landscape areas of existing vegetation, open space, boundary interfaces and highway corridors.
The Strategic Landscape Proposal complements the Development Brief and Design Code for the proposed development at East Trowbridge.
It established the principles of design for the treatment of the strategic landscape elements of the development in order to ensure that character, structure and unity are brought to the landscape of the new settlement.
The proposals sought to create a distinctive sense of place via retention of existing landscape features, the creation of new areas of attractive public open space and a legible hierarchy to the landscape setting and highway network.
The commission continues in the detail design of the proposals currently underway for Persimmon Homes (Special Projects).
